Working with flows i've faced some inconsistency in  a way one could add actions to the flow.

When I add action from existing Component/Flow it will tie the action in flow to the same action in Component->Action tree.

    See steps below:

Is this a bug or feature?

What is the preferred way of using actions in flows?

    Hello Denis

Te first time you want to add action to the flow you picked action template from the actions library , you customize it ,set values and save it under the component , now this action become new instance of the action template that can use in any other flows/processes that using this component ,In the second time when you add new action you can pick it from the available actions of that component.

As for the preferred way - in the past you could only add actions that already created in the component to your flow , meaning if during the flow design you find you forgot to define action that can be use in the flow you had to same the flow , create new action and add it to the flow.

The option to add new actions while you design your flow added to RA in order to help you in this situation.

As you working with RA over time ,you will generate actions that can be used in many flows, so most of the time you will pick existing actions rather than creating new one while designing the flows..

    Hope this help
