  • 1.  Fiscal Time Periods - Best Practices

As I was in the process of creating a new Fiscal Time Period; I noticed that all of the time periods are active, even ones as old as 2012.

In our environment we aren't able to report on time periods that are older that 2018.

For best practice, how far back should Fiscal Time Periods remain active?

    Hi McKayleigh

We recommend to keep the fiscal periods to minimum. Yours are annual, so see if you're reporting on any annual data.

I would like to understand what you are trying to do.
You mentioned you are not able to report data prior to 2018.
The Data Warehouse and Datamart Extraction jobs use the Active flags and time slicing configurations.
You may want to use the Modern UX to view data prior to 2018 as it now uses the 'Default' Entity Fiscal Time Periods regardless of the active flag set True or False.
Please let me know what data you are trying to look at.
