We are using Clarity version 15.6 (same behavior in 15.5.1).
In my test, We have a role Called 'Business Analyst - BUS' and it has a child role called 'Business Analyst - BUS - 40'. I have the child role on the project and am using the resource finder. I have a resource that has the primary role of 'Business Analyst - BUS'.
When using the resource finder to find a replacement for 'Business Analyst - BUS - 40' I am setting the 'Filter Mode' under role to 'Selected and ancestors'. From my understanding that should bring up the resource that has the parent role (Business Analyst - BUS) as a possible resource. Nothing comes up.

Specifies a limited search on the exact role or a wider search that includes role descendants or ancestors.
What is the expected behavior?
