Clarity PPM with Qlik for reporting purpose

We are in SaaS and the current version is 15.6.1.  Due to advanced reporting/jaspersoft studio limitation, our organization would like to use Qlik for their custom reports.

Need pointers/advise/suggestion of supplying the Clarity PPM transnational data to qlik data source.

1. Does qulik has to be exactly replicated as Clarity PPM database schema?  Ex;  Project table with all associated tables with primary keys?
2. Does Odata connects with Qlik?

Hi Venkitta,

We use Clarity Data Extracts and export data to XLS and then have Qlik consume the XLS files from PPM.  Pretty simple solution that works for us.

Thanks Neil.  Are you just extracting the clarity data from project list page with all required columns and export to excel?  Is it Daily feed or any frequency you share the data with Qlik data source?

Have you used Clarity Create Dataextract Configuration with ANSI SQL?

If you have best practice that would be really helpful

We are using the Global Delivery 'Data Extraction' plugin within Clarity.  This is something that needs to be purchased/licensed separately from Clarity.

We use straight SQL for the queries, to get the data (I am not sure what ANSI SQL is).  Some run twice a day some run once a day via a regular Clarity job.  It spends on how often our users needed the data updated.

I do not recommend using the project list page for doing this, it is too much data.  We also have joins etc. in the queries that will not work on the project list page
