Project team Allocation start date and Finish date - Auto update

​Hi All,

Are there any reason why resource allocation start date and finish date are auto populated with Hard allocation start date and Hard allocation finish date? Earlier, resource allocation start and finish date were same as project start date and end date, however, these dates are automatically updated to Hard allocation start date and Hard allocation finish date.​

Hi Abhash, 

Is the resource hard booked on the Team? If so, can you check if they have explicit start and finish dates on their team record? In other words, do they have dates populated here: 

If they are hard booked (and mixed booking is not allowed) the resource's allocation and hard allocation dates will always match. Additionally, if they have explicit dates entered in the fields in the screenshot, they will no longer inherit the investment dates, as these dates will be used for the allocation instead.

There are multiple Resources on the team. All the resources have same allocation start date as project start date. there are 3 resources with different allocation start date(explicit start ). However, PM and RM confirmed they did not update the allocation date manually for these 3 resources. They only did the Hard allocation. And these hard allocation start date is automatically updated as allocation start date for these 3 resources. Mixed booking is allowed in the system.
