  • 1.  Inline Edit Not Working Object Based Portlet

    Posted Feb 12, 2020 04:53 PM
Hi, I have a portlet that's based off project's sub-object. The issue is when there's a long vertical text that needs to scroll to view. I couldn't inline edit it. Sometimes it works, sometime it doesn't. I am using Chrome and PPM v15.6. If this is a known defect, I wonder what's the status of it being fixed and can I have a link to that defect documentation. Thanks!

Can you please provide a screenshot of the Studio Attribute properties?
Please go to Administration, Studio, Objects -- Attribute tab
Click into the attribute and share the details of this field definition.
I need to know the specific data type of the field.
Does it happen on Firefox or another browser type?

Fyi, I couldn't get PPM to load on Firefox and the alignment on IE is off. I couldn't navigate to the subobject portlet.

Are you are using Classic PPM? Have you tried using the Modern UX for editing a string field of that size?

Yes we are using Classic PPM, my team is not moving to Modern UX anytime soon.

Maybe you can set the column width on the portlet to be wider.

Column width is set to 100% but it is as shown in the screenshot above. Is there any way to make a column wider without changing the name of the column header.
