    Hi

I have an existing schedule in Microsoft Project I want to upload it into a PPM project .
I have install the plug in
made settings in MS Project  and in PPM settings PPM Version 15.5.1

When I upload the schedule into PPM it is uploaded successfully
the issue happens when I open it back to MSP
the total number of day on the duration increases and some dates are underlined with red

If I may ask if any one knows how to fix this

    The schedule in MSP (original)
some Items are not auto scheduled
    Example
    - Task one Auto Scheduled
              - task two auto Scheduled

    task three not auto scheduled
                     task four not auto scheduled

If I change the date on task three and four it affect the duration and finish date in task two
then duration and finish date on task one also changes to match the changes done on the lower tasks

The scenario you describe is that tasks one and two are "summary" tasks and they should display the start date as the earliest of the start dates of its subtasks, and the finish date as the latest of the finish dates of its subtasks.

Just uploaded a picture for the schedule
the start date of the summary task is the start date of the first task
and the finish date of the summary task is the finish date of the last task

    new picture

That's right, this behaviour is expected as the summary task is "summarizing" the values from its substasks and therefore, it adjusts the dates. The parent task dates should extend to the dates of the subtasks.

    Thank you Marc
    a. Just wish to know if Auto scheduling all the task before uploading can resolve this issue
because I do have other schedules are done almost the same as this one they do not have any issues I think it is because some Items are auto Scheduled
    b. I have also noticed that  the existing Schedule when It counts number of days it starts same day while when it is back from PPM it starts the next day
    example
    before uploading
duration  - 5 days  start date Monday  - finish date Friday

after  uploading to PPM and viewing it in MSP again
duration  - 5 days start date Monday  - finish date Monday following week

is there any setting I can do in PPM or in MSP that can make sure these calculation are the same
Cause I noticed if I change the duration from 5 to 4 days MSP does not Complain
