Other work - view rights

Hello community,

according to CA PPM documentation (15.3) and other posts in this forum (https://communities.ca.com/message/242137554-other-work-for-non-project-work, https://communities.ca.com/message/241900736), I am aware of the fact that the 'other work' object is quite limited regarding configuring access rights.

Automatic rights (other work - edit) are only granted to the creator/owner.

If I add team members, the do not become participants like in projects, hence the do not see the 'other work' item, to which they are allocated to, at all?

Question: Is there a work around to grant "other work - view" rights to all members of a specific 'other work' item (other than obs-based view rights)?

I might be missing something, but form a User Group by adding all the members, and then assign Other Work - View for a specific Other Work item. How about this one?

Yes, this would solve the requirement but cause lots of manual effort to
- create a User Group for every Other Work item that needs separate permissions
- keep Other Work team members in sync with the group

 

Maybe someone has automated the "participants" behaviour of projects with a process/script?
