Error : ODF-0015: Value must be unique. While saving an existing project

Hi All,

 

While saving an existence project, following Error is throwing :  Error : ODF-0015: Value must be unique.

 

Have anyone faced the same issue.

this issue is only occurring while saving the general page not another pages.

Application Logs would have given more information related to the error. 

I guess, it could be because of Dynamic Lookup attributes placed on the page where you see the error. you may check the same.

I agree wit Sridhar, You need to see the app-ca.log to get further details. This issue is happening as PPM is not allowing a duplication in one of the unique keys. But to troubleshoot the problem, you need to find out where this unique key constraint is getting violated. Here comes the need of the application log. You will get detailed error messages over there. Please collect and try to analyse. If you need further help, may be raise a case with CA Support with the logs.

Our users see this issue intermittently.... over a year after it was first raised and the KB article created.  The KB article states a "possible cause" but does not determine a root cause nor a closed final resolution.  Steps to resolution include "if" statements, which are not definitive actions to be taken to eliminate the problem.

 

I've opened Case 01328621.

The error is generic and by looking at the stack trace we should be able to get the root cause. The tec doc says the cause was due to the trigger which was in invalid state.

We are encountering the error when attempting to add ToDo items to a Task in the New UI.  The steps in the KB article do NOT fix the issue.  After performing the steps in the KB article, we are still able to reproduce the error at will.

 

I'm concerned about ODF-0015 being "generic".  Error codes should be indicative of a specific problem or problem type, which is known.  Perhaps you need to return to the software engineers and identify what triggers (no pun intended) this particular error code to be produced?

Additionally, we attempted the KB article steps on the Task object (in addition to the Project object) and this did NOT resolve the issue
