  • 1.  How do I make the default allocation field mandatory within a project?

Does anyone know how I make the default allocation field mandatory within each project?

I would told this could be done through the object?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The Default Allocation % field is available under the Team object in CA PPM

Once you access this object, go to its View. You will find the staff member properties. For this section select the Fields. In the list of the fields, choose the properties for the Default Allocation field.

Ensure that the Value Required field is check marked.

This will make the Default Allocation mandatory.

Refer to the attached document for screenshot / steps

Let us know if this helps.

Default allocation is an OOTB attribute and it cannot be modified at Object level. However, you can try the following:

Administration > Objects > Team object > Views, then for the Staff Member Properties, go to Fields.

Click on Properties for the Default Allocation.

You will be able to set the restriction at view level.
