Custom Action Links on Menus

Is it possible to secure the Action Links created using the Menu Manager or will they be available for all users?

I have a requirement wherein a custom action link is to be displayed for a few security groups but hidden for the rest from the Menu. Is this possible?

 

Appreciate any guidance on the above.

I am not that sure here, but suppose you are adding a custom Action Link to "New Custom Object" in any of the sections of the Application menu. Now users, if not having the rights to navigate the object, and create a instance of the same, they will not be able to see the Link in the Menu. 

Now, it is upto you whether you want to give the rights through a group or not. Hope that helps.
