    Hi Noreen,

    Do you mean that Advanced Reporting page gets minimized? I have not heard of it popping away. Do you mind showing a couple of screenshots on what exactly happens? Try with another browser and see if you still have the same issue.

    Regards -Nika

    Hi Noreen,

    You can potentially hit this bug if you have not upgraded to latest Jaspersoft patch

    CA PPM In IE11 with Jaspersoft 6.2.1, Advance Reporting automatically minimizes or hides in the background of the deskt…

    Hi noreen.harding,

    I have also faced the similar issue. As this is a bug

    "CLRT-81029- When using Internet Explorer 11, Jasper-soft 6.2.1 automatically minimizes and hides in the background of the desktop when you click Advanced Reporting "

    , you can install the Patch 2 on the Jasper-soft 6.2.1 (6.2.1_5.2.1.2).

    This will resolve the issue.

    Best Regards

    Hi Suma

    We’re using Jaspersoft 6.2.1_5.2.1.54, so we’re atleast at the version needed to support that fix.

    Would you have any other reason this is happening ?

    Regards

    Noreen

    The screen minimizes yes

    We’re using Jaspersoft 6.2.1_5.2.1.54, so we’re atleast at the version needed to support that fix.

    Would you know of a fix ?

    Hi

    We looked at the download part of CA’s site and I see our version installed as the latest full version available.

    We do see a cumulative patch which released on 31st March 2017.

    Is this what contains the fix ???

    Thanks

    Noreen

    Hi Suman,

    I downloaded the patch and followed the steps in the ReadMe.

    1. Stopped the application server

    2. Backed up the report service folder

    When I try to install the patch I get an immediate error:

    But, our Tomcat Home Directory is: D:\apache\apache-tomcat-8.5.14

    Can you please advise?

    Hi Colin,

    We don't support Tomcat 8 with Jaspersoft yet, can you revert back the tomcat to supported version and check

    Release Notes (On Premise) - CA PPM - 15.2 - CA Technologies Documentation

    BTW I am using Apache Tomcat/7.0.55 and it works fine

    My colleague who is off on leave installed Jaspersoft in this environment.

    I see that in D:\apache we do have the version you are using - apache-tomcat-7.0.55 and also apache-tomcat-8.5.14.

    Is there a way we can tell which version Jaspersoft is using?

    You must be running Jaspersoft like

    http://server:8080/reportservice/

    Change the same to

    http://jasper:8080 and you should be able to see the service name.

    Change the port number if you are not using 8080

    Yes we are using http://server:8080/reportservice
    Do we make that change in the NSA - Reporting -> Web URL ?

    Then if we go to http://jasper:8080 we should see the service name?

    Sorry if you go to  http://server:8080 you should see the Apache version or you can go under bin folder to check

  • 16.  Re: why does the screen revert in advance reporting

    Posted Jun 20, 2017 08:45 AM

    Ah yes I see in the bin folder there is an install.properties file and it shows the following:

    patch.deploy.tomcat=D:\apache\apache-tomcat-8.5.14

    patch.deploy.jrs.webapp.name=reportservice

    patch.install.mode=standalone
    jaas.deploy.environment=op
    jaas.deploy.environment.compliance.level=standard

    So it looks as though the latest cumulative patch is unable to be installed when we have this version of Tomcat configured.

    Is there a quick way to re-configure using the correct 7.0.55 version or would it require a complete reinstall?

    Hi Colin,

    I am not sure on changing the tomcat, but you can install the Jaspersoft as cluster on the same box and while installation it will ask for Tomcat and point the same to supported version. Once the cluster is up and running you can delete the old file structure.
