  • 1.  Disable Final Project Status Report

    Posted Jul 06, 2016 02:10 PM

We are starting to implement having PM's create their weekly status reports in Clarity instead of externally.  As part of the implementation we would like to have the status report unable to be changed once the PM has marked it final.  Does anyone have an idea of how to accomplish this?

    Regards,

Have you thought about a process that locks the fields? Naturally you would need to have a process to unlock in case a change must be made.

The process would be kicked off when the Status report is set to Final.

The process to lock the fields is the easiest method.

You may be able to setup users with only the Status Report - Create All right, and have a process that removes the Status Report - Edit instance right (via a Gel script) when the Status changes to final. Check with your CA Clarity PPM developer to be sure. That way, an administrator with the Status Report - Edit All right can still edit them, and the instance right can be granted if the user made the change accidentally.
