  • 1.  Change Resource details

    We use CA PPM 14.3 and I wanted to change email address of a resource. When I tried to change it, I see that the email address is grayed out and doesn't allow me to edit it ; whereas for some other resource, I can edit the details. Why is this occurring so? 

    Any idea on this query would be helpful!

    Is it to do with externally authenticated users perhaps? (LDAP etc)

    If you are using SAAS customer and behind the portal you need to update the portal before updating CA PPM

    If that is the case, then why some resource details are editable with CA PPM itself?

    Not that all resource details are grayed out, but some resource details are grayed out. I'm confused and not sure why only certain resource details are not able to be changed, as we create all resources via portal only.

    Hi Monica,

     

    If a resource is having external authentication checked it won't be editable and other resources will.

    You are welcome  However flow remains the same in case you need to change.
