  • 1.  Where to save a Jaspersoft topic to make it available?

    When a user creates an Ad-Hoc View, there is a button “Save as Topic”  (Guardar como Tema) that allows to create a new Topic (example: "Tema AA111")

     

     

    After that, if the user wants to create a new Ad-Hoc View, he should be able to select the Topic recently created, but it does not appear in the list.

     

     

    What are we mising? Maybe a permission?  or we should use a folder other than adhoc/topics ?

    I did try the same in 14.2 and I am unable to find the topic but I tested the same with 14.3 and I am able to see the topic saved. I will find out more and come back.

    I tested further and i was able to reproduce the same, I created a potential defect CLRT-79893 Topic not visible when saved in Advance reporting. However topics are visible in 14.3

    Actually, we made the same test, and it worked fine in 14.3

    There is something wrong about the Jaspersoft included in CA PPM 14.2

    Hi Juanv,

     

    it is simply a rights issue:

    In 14.2, per default no ROLE has access to the adhoc/topics folder.

    Please simply login as superuser to Jaspersoft directly and set the read/write/delete rights to the roles you think fit., e.g. to "Read" to ROLE_USER, "Read and Write" to ROLE_AD_HOC_DESIGNER and Administer to "ROLE_ADMINISTRATOR".
