Clarity 14.2 introduced Jaspersoft reporting and the new "ad-hoc" reporting capabilities.

How do I conditionally format a table from an ad-hoc view?

Trick question, you can't in the ad-hoc view you need to do this in a "report".

So once you have created that ad-hoc view click "Save ad hoc view and create report"

    • Click on report list and find the report you saved
    • Click on the column and from the drop down select the formatting icon
    • Click on the conditional formatting tab
    • Add a condition, then apply formatting as you want
    • Done!

    End result:

Is there any reason the formatting icon would NOT display? I created a very simple report from an ad hoc view, I am in the report and selected the column and i am not getting the formatting icon, just ascending and descending icons
