Limit Process Auto-Start

Is there a way to limit auto-start on process only to a particular USER GROUP.

 

For example:

A process "P1" must auto-start only for users belonging to Project Manager group.

Have you tried restricting access to this Process, P1, to just the Project Manager Group?

Hi, yeah . I have tested by assigning Process Autostart, Start, Manage .. only to Project manager group.

 

But still the Process P1 auto-starts for any user.

Go into your Process -> Access to this Process. Check for Resource, OBS and Group Access Rights. It cannot be that a Resource outside of this Super Set here can Auto-start the Process.

In an upgraded v14.2 we faced the same issue than jayant.moosad, and checkin at "Processes", process-name, "Access to this Process", there is rights for nobody but administrator.

 

However, processes can be started :

-from an event generated by a user with Global right: "Process - Start - All" but without "Process - AutoStart - All"

-from an event generated by a user with the Global right: "Process View Instance - All" but without "Process - AutoStart - All" or "Process - Start - All"

-some processes appears as initiated by Niku Administrator instead of the username (and curiously these are the processes with many steps)

 

It doesn't seems a general failure of v14.2 because in a fresh installation previous behavior is not reproducible,

 

jayant.moosad What clarity version are you using? did you upgrade Clarity from an old version? had you this behavior before?

I created another process on the Timesheet object. Still its behaving the same.

 

USERS who do not have Process Autostart - All gloabl rights or the Process Start/Manage Process Name instance rights , still get the process started for their account
