Task Status for Activites & Phases Not Auto Updating?

    We have upgraded to 14.3 and have noticed that the Phases and Activity status no longer 'auto updates' to 'Complete when you mark all your Tasks completed.

     

    I've looked through the documentation and the community but don't see anything listed specifically.  Is this roll up no longer available?  Is it a setting somewhere so we can change that back rather than having to set the status for each an every Task, Activity and Phase?

     

    Any insight is appreciated.

    Hi,

    If the %Complete Calculation in your Project properties page is set as Effort or Duration, please try running the Update % Complete job and let us know how it went.

    Good evening, Juan;

     

    I am talking about the Status on the task, not the % Complete or % Expended.

     

    There is a task status with 3 choices – Not Started, Started and Complete.

     

    In past releases, when all of the tasks were marked Complete, by default the Activity level would get its status updated to Complete as well.  The same was true for the Phase – when all tasks and, by default Activities were marked complete, the Phase turned to Complete.  The choices also updated to started when the status of a task turned over as well.

    Hi Ruthann,

    Yes, I do understand that its about the status of the Task and not the %Complete.

    I have seen the status of the task getting changed when this job is executed if the %complete calc is set something other than manual.

    Please try running the job and let us know.
