Attachment Not Opening-v13.0.1-session logs out

    Hi All,

     

    In our environment, the attachments are not opening but redirecting the page to another page where Clarity asks for the password (like NSA login page). When we enter password it shows incorrect username  and password (even when username field is not present).

     

    Attachments are not opening from list view and also from inside.

     

    After this page, the session automatically logs out.


    Please help on this!

    Hi Uruj,

     

    Can you please check if the indexing job is running successfully and how long it takes to complete. Also see what error you see in the app ca log.

    It sounds like maybe something in the CSA setup is not right ; that the URL for the document store is not configured correctly (a different Clarity instance (or URL) where the setup was copied from perhaps?) so the user is being directed to a different application on clicking the attachement. Check your CSA setup for documents then.

    Hi Suman,

    I have checked that Indexing Job is working fine and it takes 0.01-0.02  seconds ( immediately) to get complete.  So what may be other reasons. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Abhash,

     

    If the indexing is completing in 2 seconds then the job is not doing what is expected to do and the documents are not indexed. Try rebuilding the index

     

    1. Pause the "Index contents and documents for search" scheduled job

     

     

    2. Turn off synchronous indexing in the NSA. NOTE: Make sure you restart

    services after doing this.

     

     

    3. Using NSA add "-Djava.io.tmpdir=c:\javatmp" to app service jvm 

    parameters (unless this parameter is already present)

     

     

    4. Using NSA add "-Djava.io.tmpdir=c:\javatmp" to bg service jvm parameters

     

     

    (unless this parameter is already present)

     

     

    5. Search for and delete any files that end in write.lock on your app

    server(s).

    They will look something like this:

    lucene-62db5567fbeaae16396e79fb8fe42895-write.lock

     

     

    6. Restart app and bg services.

     

     

    7. Delete the nspider and nspiderfile folders from the file server 

     

     

    8. Log into the app server as someone who has full control of the filestore folders including the ability to create new folders/files like the nspiderfiles folders

     

     

    9. Run the "admin search recreate-index-data" command

     

     

    10. Run the "admin search recreate-index-files" command

     

     

    11. When this has completed, turn on synchronous indexing in the CSA.

    Hi Suman,

    Thanks a lot for your support.
    I have followed all the steps, but still Indexing job is taking 0 second to get complete.

    Actually we have two different Clarity versions 13.0.1 and 14.2 which are sharing the the same file directory on Linux environment. Attachment is working fine for 14.2 but not working for 13.0.1.

    Please help us.

    Hi Abhash,

     

    What is the use case for pointing same file structure to two different versions of PPM? By doing this the job will have conflict and its not expected to work.

    Hi Suman,

    Actually earlier both environment had same PPM version 13.0.1, after that one was upgraded to 14.2.
    Ok... So is it the issue?? 

    And I found that in both the environment indexes job a takes only 0.01 second tto get complete Thanks..

    Hi Abash,

     

    Can you stop one version of PPM and then redo the indexing and see if it works, ideally you shouldn't point 2 versions of CA PPM to single file store.

    I would highly recommend that you keep instances of CA PPM separate. It is way too easy to get things mixed up when trying to have Clarity instances share resources.
