PMO Installation query

Hi guys,

 

After upgrading one of our environments to version 14.2 I then attempted to install the PMO add-in.

 

admin content csk

 

It appeared to run successfully:

 

and I cannot see any errors being thrown in the admin.log file

 

But when I go into the application and click Administration -> Content Add-Ins it is showing up as failed:

 

 

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be displaying?

Did you had any addin before the upgrade?

We installed the CSP add-in before PMO after upgrading to 14.2

When we try to run one of the reports - "Portfolio Changes"

 

it fails immediately and in the app-ca.log files we see this error:

And when we check our BO server and look in the CSP folder for the actual report it isn't there hence the error above.

 

We have also ensured that the Portfolio items are installed.

We can see that the new reports look to be available from the application:

 

 

But when we launch the report it cannot find it.

Also, when wer check on the BO server in the CMC, it doesn't look to be listed in any of the folders.

you need to install CSP addin, did you do that, the problem stated in this thread is very different stated now.

You clarity content and CSP shows upgrade ready, so you need to apply them and then go to business object CMC and see if you can see the CSP folder and you need to import the csp biar to the reporting server. After that please try installing the PMO again.

Did you had PMO installed before you upgraded to 14.2, the report will fail as you don't have the PMO installed and also you would need CSP if you need to run the BO reports

OK so now my CSP is displaying as 'Installed' instead of 'Upgrade Ready'

 

The CSP BIAR file I have appears to be an older version. When I use the import wizard to import it, and if I drill down CA Reports -> CA -> CA Clarity I can see reports which we already have, but not any newer ones that we are missing. Is it possible to download the latest CSP biar file?

The latest biar will be available in the CA PPM directory under reporting, so you can go to the application server and get that.

just to update you. I tried to install the PMO again but the same thing happens.

In the command prompt it says that it successfully installed and I also cannot see any errors in the admin.log file.

This is the upgrade process we used:

 

1. Upgraded from 13.1 sp 8 to 14.2 base so I assume the PMO version we had was the one in 13.1

2. Installed CSK

3. Installed CSP

4. Installed patch 1

5. Installed patch 2.

 

It then retried the PMO but still get the error as discussed above.

 

Is there a correct order to install the accelerators? For example did I make a mistake installing CSK before CSP?

If you were in 13.1 then can you click on the addin of PMO and then show what it looks.

So the last PMO was applied was 2.1 which was supported with 8.x/12.x So 14.2 is failing. if there is feasiblity go back to 13.1 and apply the PMO and then upgrade.

I'll have to check with the Developers. But I have a 13.1 db and app backup to revert to, so it should not be a major issue.
