    Hi,

We recently upgraded on of our lower environment to CA PPM v15.6 & post upgrade process flow diagram for any of the process is not visible.

When we go to Home->Organizer ->Initiated Processes & try to check flow diagram for any initiated process, it shows blank screen. Attached is the screenshot.

    Please suggest.

    Regards,
    Divyanshu Dhyani

    HI.

You must applied 15.6.1 where that bug is fixed.

    Workaround  is

    https://comm.support.ca.com/kb/process-flow-wingding-characters/kb000094913#/
    https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-6/en/administration/configure-processes )

Tip: Do not remove the MS Gothic font from your operating system. Process flow diagrams in Classic Clarity PPM require this system font. On Linux, you might encounter the following error when you click on a process flow diagram:

Unable to process request - Server or Network error.

This appears to occur when the Gothic font is not installed. As a workaround provided "as-is" without warranty, you could install the traditional core Windows system fonts on Linux. See https://help.accusoft.com.

    Hi @SumanPramanik,

We upgraded our lower environment to v15.6.1 but the issue persists even after upgrade.

Process flow graphs are still not visible. Are we required to do something else apart from upgrade to get the same worked?

    Please suggest.

    Regards,
    Divyanshu Dhyani

    Hi @SumanPramanik,

We have Windows based server & all these fonts are already installed. Moreover, our expectation was that post v15.6.1 installation, the issue will be automatically resolved & we don't need to go for any workaround.

I think this would require a WebEx session to demonstrate the issue & the error we are getting.

I've raised a case for this issue.

    Thanks for your help.

    Divyanshu Dhyani

    Hi Divyanshu,

The bug was specific to non windows. I have seen the cases you have raised and will connect with you over the webex and take a deeper look.

I worked with Divyanshu via support case and the reason Process Flow Diagram was not rendering because the files under Clarity_home\lib were replaced with custom Jars which caused the conflict.

The stack we saw in the app ca log was

FATAL 2019-06-17 09:10:47,299 [http-nio-80-exec-21] web.WebControlServlet (clarity:XXXXX:49623155__1C41E080-23F3-4E52-AF79-298CF07954E4:bpm.processFlowGraph) Action request error for request. Could not render standard error page

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.apache.batik.bridge.BridgeContext

    at org.apache.batik.transcoder.SVGAbstractTranscoder.createBridgeContext(Unknown Source)

To render the images we use Batik.jar which is placed under Clarity_home\lib and the moment we replaced with out of box files everything was rendering properly.

    Hi Martti

The problem mentioned was due to change in the out of box libraries and that caused the problem.

Exactly, my point is that no problem if you have OOTB system.

    Hi Suman.

Seems that on DEV we fixed the issue (upgrade was 15.2->15.6->15.6.1 applied) but on PREPROD not (the path was 15.2->15.6.1). On PREPROD we have the error (with RHEL)

Trying to see with linux admin if they have different fonts installed on both servers.

    Keep informed here

    Hi Suman

We are hitting this issue on 15.7 with RHEL 7.7.

We already installed the MS fonts.

No error message, just shows a blank screen when I try to open PFD.

    Thanks Ram
