Multi-valued custom attributes in IDM Appliance

Hi everyone,

We got around to tweaking the IDM appliance and we've been dealing up and down with the schema limitations that are imposed upon the appliance specifically when it comes to attributes and their structural modification.
Namely, we would like to know if any additional configuration is needed to make a custom attribute (ex. imString01) a multi-valued one other than modifying the attribute definition in the schema by configuring a delimiter. Specifically, is this even feasible with the appliance? ​

Hello Nur,

User store custom attributes imString00 - imString09 in Virtual Appliance are multi-value, you do not need to do any schema changes.
You only need top make the attributes visible.

Hi Dmytro!

This is great news! Can you please tell us which delimiters we should use while invoking the modifyUser function? Our use-case is based on SOAP TEWS execution, so can you please confirm that this is applicable to the WS model as well and if so which delimiters we should pass for the imString00 to be updated with multiple values?

I really appreciate any further hints you can provide.

In a SOAP document you should use pipe character ('|') as a delimiter between values I believe.
