  • 1.  vApp Provisioning Replication Issue

    Posted Apr 02, 2020 05:12 AM
    Hello,

Is it possible to change the root domain in provisioning directory and provisioning server from standard "im" domain ?

We are facing replication issue due to this. We have provisioning server in cluster in vApp. There domains are different as during migration we implemented only single directory. We tried setting up the cluster later and now it is causing issues.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Shashank

Changing the root domain is not recommended or supported. We're not sure how you achieved two servers in the cluster with different domain configurations. The supported method would be to retain the server with the default "im" domain and deploy a second vAPP and deploy the required services to that second node from the vAPP console.

Perhaps there are others in the communities who have experience in doing this and we invite them to comment here also.

Another option may be to reach out to our partner HCL Technologies to see in what way they can assist further. The Enterprise Studio team of HCL can be reached at enterprisestudio@hcl.com. https://www.hcltech.com/enterprise-studio

    Hello,

We have migrated this environment to vApp from traditional environment using MigrateX tool. When we did this , we had only single provisioning server running. MigrateX allows users to retain custom domain when migrated to vApp.

Later on we deployed another machine as cluser, it is here when we faced replication issue in provisioning. Although the directories maybe in replication mode, but it seems due to mismatch of domains , sync is not taking place.

Hence we need to know how this can be achieved. Not only domain of provisioning, we will have to change provisioning directory structure to match root domain.

    Thanks,
