    Hello,

I am attempting to install the 14.3 CP1 patches on 6.4 Jboss. (Pre-requistics before the Jboss migration from 6.4 to 7.2)

I have deployed the CP1 iam_im.ear with new version on my Linux IM box and changed the permissions to 775 for "ALL" folders and files provided in this patch.

Now IDM is not starting and there is no error in the logs.

only shows - Started 266 of 359 services (143 services are lazy, passive or on-demand)

4:33:46,875 INFO [org.jboss.as] (Controller Boot Thread) JBAS015952: Admin console listening on https://10.2.58.37:9443

Have you check your installation log file and see if there are any error during CP upgrade.  Have you check if you have sufficient disk space while running the upgrade?

And, as always Perhaps there are others in the communities who have experience in doing this and we invite them to comment here also.
Another option may be to reach out to our partner HCL Technologies to see in what way they can assist further. The Enterprise Studio team of HCL can be reached at enterprisestudio@hcl.com. https://www.hcltech.com/enterprise-studio

    Thank you Lin,

Yes, I have successfully upgraded IDM to CP1.

    I followed these steps.

    Here is what we suggest:

    1. Stop JBOSS.
      2. Replace the ORIGINAL /standalone/deployments/iam_im ear from prior to the initial upgrade attempt.
      3. Clear the <jboss>/standalone/tmp/ folder
      4. Start JBOSS backup and verify that IDM starts and works as expected

    Then apply the patch:
Ensure these steps are performed by the user that Starts the JBOSS application server.
    1. Shut down JBOSS
    2. Copy the patch file, "iam_im.ear.zip" to the Linux system and unzip it on that server.
    3. Copy the resulting "iam_im.ear" into <JBOSS>/standalone/deployments/" folder ensuring to overwrite / replace existing files.
    4. Clear the <jboss>/standalone/tmp/ folder
    5. Set the Permissions Navigate to "iam_im.ear" folder and change the "OWNER" to the user with which the application server is installed and permissions to 775 for "ALL" folders and files provided in this patch.
      Example: ., chmod -R 775 library

    1. Start JBOSS up
