  • 1.  Slow response getting after submit the task in CA IP

    Posted Feb 18, 2020 07:29 AM
    Hi All,

We have a one issue with submitting a task (i.e. modify user) in Identity portal 14.2.

When we click the submit button after changing the manager value or any value it takes about 35 to 45 seconds for the end user to receive a confirmation screen in Identity portal screen.

Any assistance or improvement enhancements would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Jeevan

    Jeevan,
There are so many things that could be the cause of this.
Network, application server level, database level on IP, database level on IM.

you can check IM layer, by logging directly into IM and performing the same task, if there is no slowness you know the problem is outside of IM if there is slowness, check your task persistence clean up and database health.

And, as always Perhaps there are others in the communities who have experience in doing this and we invite them to comment here also.

Another option may be to reach out to our partner HCL Technologies to see in what way they can assist further. The Enterprise Studio team of HCL can be reached at enterprisestudio@hcl.com. https://www.hcltech.com/enterprise-studio

    Dear William,

While doing same task from IM it is not taking that much of time, but while doing from identity portal only its taking time. So please find the below SS.

    Thanks,

Based on my experience, increase the user-threads and db_pool improve the performance from OOTB setting.
TP monitor stats, does not mean anything. Main thing is that u archive or cleanup the TP tables. TP grow overtime.
If ur server is new, then TP is not ur performance issue. Normally OOTB setting set with lower value, which u need to increase higher to gain better performance.
