    Hi,

First of all thanks for this efficient tool.

We have a scenario in which we want to migrate policies of policy xpress from one enviroment to another enviroment of Identity Minder.

Can you suggest how can we import these policies on another enviroment.

    Regards

    Rohan

    Rohan,

The migration of PxP objects, along with any IdM created object, is rather easy.  In order to do such, you must first collect the exported Roles and Tasks XML file from the CAIM Management Console.  Next, extract the policies that you'd like to migrate into another XML file that will be used for importing; be sure to include the required XML tags/text required in order for the import utility to digest the file correctly.  Freeware such as Notepad++ are excellent text editing tools that can make the extraction process much easier.

As for any of these object migrations, be sure that the environment in which you are importing into already contains the required attributes defined in the directory object.

If you desire to migrate admin task objects be sure to include all dependency objects such as screens and/or search screens.

    Best,

    Anthony Pantalo
