  • 1.  a WAN visual dashboard that can show health of the connections between our major sites

I am new to my current company and CA stuff. This is my first week. I was asked to build a WAN visual dashboard that can show health of the connections between our major sites over the world. We have Net Ops 3.6 and Spectrum 10.3 deployed.
My understanding is, maybe NetOps is not a good candidate to do the dashboard, maybe better in Spectrum?
Can anyone suggest what would be best practice to start with? Maybe ask for a list of site edge devices and their interfaces interconnections details. Then create a node under Spectrum and not sure if the Topology could be built up automatically? or I should manually set up the topology?
Sorry I am completely new to this.
    Thanks!

Thanks a lot Nestor! If our major sites are not using SD-WAN yet. Maybe just MPLA and VPN tunnel, is it still doable like the two YouTube videos stated?

    Thanks again!

    Hi Tao
    check here

I believe this is only available for sd-wan

    Again thanks very much!
So do you think if it's doable from Spectrum? Don't have to be a Geo map view, but overall connections view between our sites worldwide :)

    Hi Tao,
if your company owns the WAN, you can get some visibility into it, if you are leasing it from a provider you will only have visibility of the edges.
Spectrum can show the health of these links via ipsla, more info here:

    and in our techdocs

First, as suggested by Nestor, you could create ICMP (and if needed Jitter) IP SLAs between WAN sites. Both Spectrum and PM can be used to create and monitor the IP SLAs. Performance metrics collected are RTT, packet loss, jitter. The second part will require some modification of this OpenAPI "Site Google WeatherMap" for PM to show the data for your WAN links:
