If the traps are already mapped in AlertMap file under $SPECROOT/custom/Events/, traps should be generated as Events. If not follow the procedure described under Southbound gateway integration (link below).
https://docops.ca.com/ca-spectrum/10-2-3/en/integrating/southbound-gateway-toolkit/using-a-southbound-gateway-integrationMake sure to turn off trap processing at device model to avoid alarms on device model as well as event model.
Once AlertMap is updated to map the trap and event, you need to define the behavior of the events to generate/clear the alarm using event conditions.

Subject: Event admin Model
Hi Joe,
I have a third party application to send the snmp traps to the spectrum.
I have created the eventadmin model with the application running host IP address in the spectrum.
If the application send the snmp trap to the spectrum , will the eventadmin model automatically create the event for that trap.If the event is created for that trap then i will enable the alarm of that event using the event configuration editor.
Is this is the process or any other steps that i needs to perform to enable the alarms in the spectrum for the third party application snmp traps.
Regards,
Santhosh

The EventAdmin model is used for the Southbound Gateway functionality. Reference https://docops.ca.com/ca-spectrum/10-3-2/en/integrating/southbound-gateway-toolkit
