    Hello,

Is it possible to choose the datacollector we want to include an equipment, when we do discovery?

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Hi Bruno:

It is random. Each data collector does a ping discovery. If data collector 1 responded with both ICMP and SNMP, but data collector 2 only responded with ICMP, we are going to use data collector 1. If both data collectors responded with ICMP and SNMP, then one of them will be randomly chosen.

Your discovery profile is tied to a domain. I think the best you can do here is discover the device in the proper domain, then you can move it to another collector within that domain

    Hello Bruno,

    There are two options

    a) If spectrum is integrated with DX Netops PM you can move the devices into the IPdomain GC in the spectrum . Post which a discovery profile gets created based on the IPdomain which is attached to a specific DC.
    b) When discovering manually the data collector is tied to the ipdomain.
