    Magen,

When you state Spectrum recognizes them as HPBG manufacturer, what do you mean? Can you please send a screen shot of what you are seeing?

    Magen,

The problem ne is modeled using the GnSNMPDev model type. That means this device is not certified in the version of Spectrum you are running. However, Spectrum can get snmp from the device so it uses the Generic SNMP Device (GnSNMPDev) model type to manage it.

May I please ask for the value of the sysObjectID attribute from both the good and bad models?

    Joe

    1) how can i know my specific version? (dont remember, in the one click webapp it says 20.2)
    2) a newer version will fix the problem?
    3) sysObjectID bad - 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.137/136/12000(forti)
    sysObjectID good - 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.90/87/62/72.....

    Magen,

    Thank you for the information.

The sysObjectID's 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.90/87/62/72 have been certified to use the HpProCurv model type in Spectrum for a while.

The sysObjectIDs 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.137/136 are not certified in Spectrum so that is why they are using the GnSNMPDev model type.

I could not find any reference to the 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.12000 sysObjectID.

The 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.137/136 IDs use the same branch in the mib as the 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.90/87/62/72 IDs. So I think it is safe to assume you can Self Certify these devices to use the HpProCurv model type as well.

When using the Device Certification tool to self certify, you can specify the Device Type Name for that specific OID.

You have to delete the existing model and recreate it.

Did you use the Device Certification tool to self certify the device to use the HPproCurve model type?

After certifying, restart tomcat on the OneClick system and remodel.

You have the option to use NewMM.pl script. This would convert existing models to new ModelTypes. It is used as part of upgrade procedure, as post-install step. Here more info on that.

is there any way to run this script in windows properly? (without bash shell)
my network is isolated from the internet

All the Spectrum installations on Windows come with bash. Just run "bash -login" in a Windows command prompt. The NewMM.pl script comes with the standard installation ($SPEROOT/Install-Tools/PostInstall/NewMM.pl).

It's a script. Debug what it does and see where you get the error.
