  • 1.  CA Spectrum Modeling Issues

    Dear All,

There are few devices in our CA Spectrum environment where the Manufacturer(0x10032) attribute values are missing,
As per my understanding, Manufacturer attribute will get populated from respective MIB for specific vendor while modelling.Unfortunately this attribute is missing/blank for few devices.
Could anyone please assist me how Manufacturer attribute value can be populated for the missing devices.
Any pointers on this is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Sachin,

The Manufacturer (0x10032) attribute ID is not filled by default. When the device is certified for CA/DX Spectrum, developers fills it manually in the catalog. So if the device is certified (based on the System Object ID), Spectrum will fill in the value in the Manufacturer (0x10032) attribute ID.
If the device is not yet certified, like GnSNMPDev, the Manufacturer attribute will be empty.

In the following URL you can check if the device is certified for CA/DX Spectrum:
    https://ehealth-spectrum.broadcom.com/devices/html/search_sp.html

The Vendor_Name (0x11570) attribute ID is populated based on MAC address of the device's vendor. (https://www.macvendorlookup.com/)
