  • 1.  Tips for Knowledge Base Article searches

    Hello All,

    Having a difficult time finding Knowledge Base Articles?

    Is the main search field on the support site returning too many results, or results that don't appear applicable?

    Try searching against the specific product involved to help limit the results.

    Try these steps which have should return more applicable results.

    1. Log in to the support site at support.broadcom.com.
    2. Select Enterprise Software.
    3. Select Product Information.
    4. Select the related product to search against. For example depending on options presented:
      1. Searching for DX NetOps Performance Management? Try selecting one of these options.
        • DX NetOps
        • CA Performance Management - Usage and Administration".
      2. Searching for Spectrum? Try selecting one of these options.
        • DX NetOps
        • CA Spectrum
      3. We see the various options referenced here:
    5. On the product page presented, use the Search field. Regardless of product selected go to the "See All Articles" link in the Knowledge Base Articles section.

    6. That brings you to the following KB search page.
      • Searching for articles it is best to set the Filter by Content Type to Knowledge Base.
      • Filter by Product allows one choice per search.
      • Ensure it's set to the right product to search within.
      • Once on this page, can change to any product needed and continue searching. No need to navigate to another product page to then go searching for articles. Just change the product filter.

        When I search for CA PM , it returns empty page. Please help me to get the KB article page

        After hitting CA - perfromance Management , the below page returns and it doesn't show anything. Is something I am missing?. Even I tried for other products as well but still getting nothing.

    I don't have any good answers for that one. The same URL works fine for me when I'm logged into the site. I use Chrome, which is what it appears you're using as well per that screen shot.

    Is the Chrome browser used running the latest version?

    Does it work better using a different browser?

    Does it work different if tried on a different system if one is available to test with?

    If you clear the cache in your browser and try again, does anything change?
