Upgrade NFA 9.3.3 to 10.0 and migrate to a new server. How to?

Hi,

I'm like to upgrade NFA 9.3.3 (integrated in UIM/DX IM) to NFA 10.0. The documentation for this is available and perhaps good enough. Beside I like to change the server (OS 2008 -> 2016 Update).
I guess there a 3 scenarios to reach the goal "NFA 10.0 runs on a new server with existing DB":

1. Upgrade first from 9.3.3 to 10.0 on old server. Then transfer whole installation to new server.... How?
2. Install 10.0 on new server. Then transfer settings und DB content from old server to new one.... How?
3. Transfer first 9.3.3 to new server. Then upgrade to 10.0 on new server.... How?

What is the best way to reach the goal?

More problems occur...

9.3.3 cannot installed on Windows Server 2016
10.0 cannot installed on Windows Server 2008 R2

Scenario 1. and 3. are therefore obsolote :-(
What about scenario 2.?

Any ideas?

Hi 

There is no direct migration from Win 2008 to 2016 .You will have to go from 2008 to 2012 and then 2016 .Steps in link below

Hi,

thanks for the linked docs. Very helpful.
I got a workaround from support to install NFA 9.3.3 directly on Windows 2016 server:

Set the following Windows System Varaibles
CA_INSTALL_SKIP_OS_CHECK = true
JAVA_TOOLS_OPTIONS = "-Dos.name=Windows 8"

With this System Variables we can install NFA 9.3.3 on Windows 2016 server.
