Hi all,
https://comm.support.ca.com/kb/failed-to-insert-event-due-data-too-long-for-column-event-msg-type-0x6330071-0x6330076/kb000094841
This kba mentions deleting events as a workaround for data truncation issues in the SRM event tables, that lead to a stop of data processing.
As this can only be a workaround, what is the solution to that? What is the reason for those millions of ":Cleared:" messages, and how can this be prevented?
Thanks and regards
Marco
Hi Marco,
What is the version of spectrumgtw probe?
What is the version of CA Spectrum and CA UIM?
Thanks,
Silvio
Hi Silvio okasi01,
jumping in for Marco (talking about the same environment):
Spectrum 10.02.03_BMP302 plus some D and PTF patches
UIM 8.5.3 (which is effectively version 8.5.1 plus vulnerability patch 1)
spectrumgtw 8.65
regards,
Raphael
Hi Raphael,
For your current environment, try deploying the latest version of spectrumgtw 8.65HF10 from:
https://support.ca.com/us/product-content/recommended-reading/technical-document-index/ca-unified-infrastructure-management-hotfix-index.html
Note that End of Service has been announced for CA Spectrum 10.2.X
https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231184798-end-of-service-announcement-ca-spectrum-102x
If you upgrade to CA Spectrum 10.3.X, then you can deploy the spectrumgtw 8.67HF1.

Hi Silvio,
will 8.65HF10 resolve the issue, or is it just a "give it a try" as it could help?
Thanks an regards
It is supposed to be fixed in 8.65HF10.
This is a known issue in 8.61:
