  • 1.  How to change the way a report is presented in Jasper?

I created an ad hoc view in Jasper to show a list of interfaces of certain devices in order to know how many ports are available.

The thing is that when I create the report from this ad hoc view, I don't find a way to modify the way it is presented. For instance, I'd like to replace the variable names with some more specific titles. I could do this when I used BOXI, but with Jasper I'm not finding the way to do so.

I tried to create a template in Jasper Studio with no success.

Is there any easy way to make this?

You can right click the entry and select "Edit Label”

Is that what you are looking to do?

Outside of that I don't believe you can change much.

Ad Hoc reports are more of a specific data dump that you can export into CSV, etc.

You may be able to do that with Jasper Studio.  The same Jaspersoft license that is included in Spectrum will work for Jasper Studio, however we do not support Jasper Studio in CA Support.

There are, however, a lot of free Jasper Studio videos on You Tube that you can follow.
