  • 1.  VAIM Windows OS Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the Windows OS of a current VAIM Installation?

We are running VAIM 12.8 on a Windows 2008R VM.

We need to upgrade the OS to Windows 2016.  If anyone has already done this; would you share your experience with us (your successes and failures).  It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Alex,

Thanks for your response.  Is VAIM EOL still taking place this  year?  If so; we might need to just wait and migrate over to UIM which is our future direction.

Win2008 is EOL 2019.  We are on extended support for 2008 now.  Just trying to plan appropriately.

    Thank you again.

    Hello RJ,

Don't worry, there is no VAIM 12.9 EOL yet!

    Just about 12.8 (12.8.2) will be just October 31, 2018 - EOS

    Thanks Alex.

We are already running 12.9.  I am guessing we will have to stay on Win 2008R until VAIM either goes EOL or we are able to migrate from VAIM to UIM.

If you like; you can mark this thread as completed.

    Cheers,

    Hi Melissa,

Thanks for the response.  I am signed up and have been attending the Roadmap discussions.  Haven't heard anything in regards to VAIM / UIM; but will continue listening / asking.
