Jasper Installs only database then exits.

Greetings,

 

I am trying to install Jasper on a Linux 6.8 machine for 10.2 upgrade.  The GUI install progresses as expected.  When it starts performing the actual install, it puts down the postgresql and that is it.  It goes from 0% to 100% in about 30 seconds and then the installer exits.  I have a ticket open but am waiting to hear back from support.  Did anyone else experience this?  Is it a library that is perhaps missing?

I changed the password special character I was using and now the install has been sitting at 6% for about 40 minutes with a status of Installing, copying postgresql database.  Is this typical behavior?

It has 4 CPUs and 64 Gig of RAM.

So, I increased the CPU to 2 sockets x 4 cores.  It is back to the installing from 0 to 100% in 10 seconds.  It laid down a postgres folder and that is it.  Nothing about installing tomcat or anything else.  I have a case open with Mahesh.

Is there a list of libraries that are required for the Jaspersoft install?  I saw a list for Spectrum but I couldn’t find one for Jasper.

Hey Michael,

 

There is not.

It appears just the base OS version is all we list out.

 

So if you are installing via GUI then you want 6.4, or 6.7+ (6.5 and 6.6 do not support the GUI installation only Silent).

Yes, the security agent running on our server prevented the installation from executing correctly.  Even though there were no exceptions caught by the agent while this was occurring.  This was the first time I have ever experienced this on a Linux server.  Once we disabled the agent, the install worked perfectly.
