I am trying to find out the best means to turn off the NCM Service, without reinstalling Spectrum or uninstalling it.
Want to deactivate the function as we do not use it, but it was installed.  Besides tweaking the IDB file, setting some Configuration Manager to Do Not capture/Disabled and changing Device Families Config Mgr to Disabled, is there any additional components to disable?  also, will disabling this function cause any Spectrum impact (besides not capturing configs)?

You could move the SA-SCMSS.dll file out of the /SS/Modules directory.  This will put an error into the VNM.OUT but would disable the NCM functionality in the SS.

I’m sure you already know this, but this is not tested nor supported so I cannot say if there would be any side effects. ☺
