listview showing more alarms than alarm panel in one click console of ca spectrum

    total no of critical alarms are more in list view but it is not showing in alarm tab.

    Is this a known issue or there is some specific solution for it?

    Hello Tushar,

     

    From the issue i understand that there are more devices in list view showing the condition as critical when compared with the critical alarms in alarm view right? Did you check if you have configured any alarm filters under alarms tab which would hide alarms based on the filters?

     

    OR

     

    Are you talking about the critical alarm count in Navigation panel and the alarm tab? If this is the case i think we have a bug on few Spectrum versions.

    there are no alarm filter configured

    spectrum 9.2

    so its a bug?

     

    is there any documentation for this where it is written that this is a bug?

    There were a couple of this type of issue reported in the Spectrum 9.2. code where alarm totals and numbers were not reporting accurately. All were addressed between the H13 Hotfix and the PTF_H1301 patch. Current HotFixes and PTF patches for 9.2 are still available. HotFixes can be downloaded from ftp.ca.com login is anonymous and password is your e-mail address. They are located in the /pub/CA-SPECTRUM/Updates directory. PTF patches can be obtained from Spectrum Support.

     

    Please keep in mind the Spectrum 9.2 was end of service on April 1, 2015. Please reference the end of service notification at SAP Portal Services that was posted on April 1, 2014. Reference CA Spectrum Release and Support Lifecycle Dates - CA Technologies for current and future end of service announcements.

     

    Since Spectrum 9.2 is end of service, support is limited to known issues and patches only.

     

    It is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest 9.4 or 10.0 code.
