Morning all,
We have a client that would like to see all alarms coming from NPC 6.1.205 through to Spectrum, displayed as service health in Service Manager.
For instance:
- A mail system where the network components and servers are discovered in Spectrum.
- The network components are also being monitored via NV and NFA.
- The application itself is being monitored using ADA.
- Event Manager and Anomaly Detector installed on NPC server.
- All six systems are data sources in NPC.
- There is a Service with sub-services containing the network and server components within Spectrum. This information comes directly from the discovered devices in Spectrum.
- Now the million $ question! The Performance, Flow and Application alarms coming from PC into Spectrum, can they be utilised in a Spectrum Service to show the relevant service health and if they can, how?
They do not have SOI installed, so I cannot use that route.
First prize would be a full service representation that identifies the exact area that is causing degradation of the system, second prize is a reasonable representation that can show the client that an issue exists within the mail system.
Any help would be appreciated.
