processing BGP traps and alarms

Hi Folks;

 

I need to setup spectrum to process my BGP peerings. What I want to do is generate an alarm when a peering goes down.

the "BGP_Alarm_On_Traps" is set to no, I would think this needs to be set to yes for an alarm to be generated. !!!!!!! am I missing something here?????

 

My desired end state is to have the service give me a report in infoview where the "service by Service name"

gives me the uptime graph for the last window of time and I can get the individual BGP events for the details.

 

Since I have several redundant peerings, the bgp routing fails over flawlessly but I want the reports

to show our ISP their performance statistics.
