how to replicate template-policy to new server

Hi Everyone,

I need to transfer all my templates and policies from my lab environment to my prod environment. Is there any solution available ?

 

Is that info all inside the database ? can I export/import tables ?

I'm not afraid of hardcore solution so don't hesitate to suggest anything

HI,

For this just go to the location < C:/Program Data/CA/SM/domainserver/User Defined Profiles/SystemEDGE>  (For windows i dont know about any other OS). Then from here you can copy the Templates or Policies that you have and paste them in the same location on your other VAIM server and after that just refresh the services.

And it's done !!!!

Just note that copy the cpoied Ploicies or Templates in there specified folders.

Hi Dave,

In respose to my earlier reply there is a another alernative for it.  You can use the caismutility command to export all the Policies and Templates to a dir.

caismutility -export <Directory Path>

Either way you can see "Help" of the caismutility command , You  will get all answers there :)

I had issues with the copy-paste solutions but the caismutility worked great
