Data source connection method when generating report in WADE

I want to generate a custom report from the desktop client of workload automation DE.
(job execution history report)

But when I do Data source connection (Test Connection) in data explorer (CA WA Server Data source connection properties)
The following error occurs.
There is an error in get connection, IO error:Message file 'oracle.net.mesg,Message' is missing.
Should I install oracle client on the PC where the desktop client is installed?

Hi,

There should be no need to install oracle client in the DC machine. The DC connects with DB using the jdbc jars. I suspect that the jdbc drivers are not in classpath or the connectivity from DC to database machine is not happening. Can you check what is the version of DC and version of DB that you are using. It is better to raise a ticket for this as it requires further investigation.
