    Hi,

EVN: AWA 12.3 installed on a win2k12 server
WIN01 Local Agent 12.3 running and working just fine
WIN02 Remote agent running on a win2k12 server connecting fine

The agent connects to the AE just fine, but when I try to execute a very simple Job on the remote server. It tells me invalid User or password.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    JA

    Hi Linda,

The only area I defined the User ID and the Password was in the GUI when I created the LOGIN object. I searched in the Agent's INI file for the token you mentioned but I didn't find it. Is it defined in a different INI file?

    Thank you Linda,

check the login object you use to execute the job.
Make sure that user is existing on that server with updated password and should have enough access and privilege on that server.

    Hi Carlos,

Yes the user exists in the server and the password is correct. The windows server is running AD and the user I am using the the Administrator. In the login object under the Username /ID field I enter the user info ADDOMAINNAME/Administrator then on the Password field its password. I also tried Administrator only or ServerName/Administrator. But still same result. If I RDP from the server running AWA to the win server running the agent with the credentials I am using, no problem connecting.

I couldn't find the token Linda suggested autosys_secure.

    Thank you Carlos,
    JA

    try to check this:

    windows agent ini file
    logon =

    Values

    • 0: Jobs and/or File Transfers and/or FILE Events start under the agent's OS user. The login data that is available in the Login object is not checked.
    • 1: The login data that is stored in the Login object is used.

    Default: 1

    on Windows job
try to tick check box for login is batch user.

    Hi Carlos,

I did try those values from the INI, but I didn't try the batch on the job. I will try your suggestion.

    Thank you Carlos,

    Hi Carlos,

I did try your suggestion; unfortunately, it didn't work. Below is the error:

9/10/2019 05:57:51 PM U02001042 Starting the job with user 'PAM/Administrator', domain '*OWN' is not allowed.

I just installed a Unix agent and I am going to test on that one and see what happens. I am totally lost on the remote win agent. The local agent works fine, I guess b/c is local :-)

    Thank you Carlos,
    JA
