WA DE Client

Hi,

I am using the CA WA DE Desktop client ver.12.0.02.00
Due to the large number of applications in our environments, whenever I subscribe active and set it to subscribe automatically, there is a very slow response from the client.
Is there anyway to "boost" the client to cater for this ?
Eg. Changing of client installation parameters, java parameters, etc.

How do I clear Backlog message in the client ?
I'm getting the below :

Messages for client subscription may be stuck! Backlog messages=9383
