  • 1.  Help setting an HA in Autosys 11.3.6 sp7 fresh installation

    Posted Aug 05, 2019 10:47 AM

    Hello,

I'm installing a fresh version of Autosys (1589 LINUX ORA 11.3.6 SP7) on our servers to replace an older version (163 LINUX ORA 11.3 SP1INC4_CUM3)

I'm trying to configure the system to be HA , but the documentation provided by support teams is apparently written for some other version , as it has differences from the installation process experienced in the version I'm installing.

    1. While installing Primary and Shadow servers , In the page named "Scheduler Properties" – Should I check the "configure High Availability" option ?

When checking it , I'm promoted to indicate if this is a Shadow or Primary server, but there is no Tie Breaker option.. what should I choose in the TB installation ?

    1. If I shouldn't check " configure High Availability" -can you please explain to me what to do ? or direct me do a documentation of the needed procedure to configure the HA ?

    please help :)

You can find documentation at https://docops.ca.com/ca-workload-automation-ae/11-4-2/en.  You will need to sign in to see all the documentation.  Installation information is at https://docops.ca.com/ca-workload-automation-ae/11-4-2/en/installing/ae-installation.  It includes checklists for installation - very useful.
High Availability in the server properties is referring to the Primary and Shadow servers.   A Tie-breaker is only used when you configure dual event servers (databases).
