  • 1.  WCC and EEM hosted on window to move on Azure cloud

    Posted Apr 22, 2019 11:09 AM

    Hello All,

We are moving windows servers to Azure cloud, WCC and EEM are hosted on those servers, the hostname will be retained, but the IP's will change.

What all we need to take into consideration in terms of WCC and EEM while we move the servers to azure cloud?  Any configuration changes involved for WCC and EEM before/after servers moved to cloud?

    The scheduler server remains on-premises.

Communication ports will be opened for WCC and EEM in firewall.

    any suggestion

     Tukaram,

Azure cloud or AWS concept is same, it is similar to VM but with more fine tuning options. it will change ip address for that you need DNS team, wcc /EEM links to work. if hostname change need to update same, port numbers to communicate.

Reinstall EEM and WCC from scratch on the Azure infrastructure.  You can always export/import WCC configurations and EEM policies from existing to new.

I am not sure moving  means,  snap shot capatured from current environment (OS with all application installed on it), If going for new installation in that case Tukaram knows all.
