What is TAF? 

TAF (Transparent Application Failover) is an Oracle feature that allows application users to reconnect to surviving database instances, if an existing connection fails.

Yes, TAF (Transparent Application Failover) feature in Oracle is now supported by the latest Autosys, CA Workload Automation AE version 11.3.6 SP7.

• For information about configuring the tnsnames.ora file for TAF enablement, see Install CA Workload Automation AE with Oracle.
• When the Oracle client environment is configured for TAF, the DBEventReconnect parameter defines the number of times the Oracle client rechecks the failover status.
