Just opened a ticket with CA. It appears the group and application settings in the TRAP do not always get passed for STARTJOBFAIL.
From what I see if its a brand new job and it gets a STARTJOBFAIL then the trap has group and application NOT set.
If it has run before and then gets a STARTJOBFAIL it is set properly.
This maybe due to where the trap is getting the information. so if anyone else is using group and application for ticket routing purposes keep an eye out ;-)
a minor irritation.. but can be cumbersome when on call ...
Not including DETAILS for obvious reasons..
