Hi Suren, Yes, basically I set the system up by following the implementation guide (loosely)
in our environment we have 2 sites each with 1 scheduler/app server and 1 EEM/WCC server (in cluster mode) built in zones on a Solaris server. This setup gives us HA for Autosys.
The database resides in an Oracle RAC environment, although this is a recent development, originally we had two database servers also one in each site which adds a bit more complexity for administration of the environment. RAC handles things similarly with only a single instance of the DB and can be failed over between nodes with no interruption in DB services for Autosys.
With this configuration we have immediate HA because of Autosys if the Primary goes down hard, Shadow takes over, if an EEM server fails, 2nd server answers authentication requests, RAC can be supplied by either node(s). We also can allow for maintenance on the physical server in either site through manual reconfiguration of the scheduler/app servers to switch Roles as needed and run in single-scheduler mode until the 'maintenance' is finished, then the 2nd server comes up as the shadow to re-enable HA.
I hope this was kind of what you were looking for.
